![]() Aromatics Settle Mostly Higher in U.S. and Europe8:32 AM MDT | September 12, 2011 | Lindsey Bewley The last of the major aromatics contracts were settled on either side of the Atlantic, with mixed xylenes in North America agreed lower by 8 cts/gal and the September barge price for styrene in northwest Europe concluded with a nominal gain of €6/m.t., sellers say. In spot markets, benzene was lower on the U.S. Gulf by 10 cts/gal, while spot toluene averaged a decline of 7.5 cts/gal in a widening trading range, traders report.
