Toluene tumbled 25 cts/gal and mixed xylenes plunged 45 cts/gal, or 11.5%. In Europe spot benzene took a pounding, with traders reporting a rare triple-digit one-week plunge of $100/m.t. In contrast to the Gulf coast, European tolene and xylenes were able to hold the line, players say. After a big tumble last week, there were only minor adjustments noted in styrene, with sellers shaving $20/m.t. off their highest offers...
