The benchmark benzene agreement on the U.S. Gulf Coast was done at an increase of half a dollar per gallon, while spot benzene actually dropped a dime. Mixed xylenes saw spot prices rise just 5 cts/gal, and styrene 3 cts/lb. The story was similar in Europe where the February benzene contract was agreed at an increase of €119/m.t. while spot benzene gained only $10/m.t. sellers indicate. Spot...
