![]() Aromatics Prices Push Higher11:02 AM MDT | May 31, 2012 | Lindsey Bewley Aromatics were mixed and volatile on the cusp of June contract settlements. Spot benzene on the U.S. Gulf Coast saw buyers drop bids by 15 cts/gal, but sellers would not budge. Toluene also saw the trading band widen, but to the up side, as sellers raised offers by 10 cts/gal but buyers were only willing to chip in an additonal nickel. Mixed xylenes were reported to be the big winners for the week with a robust increase of 25 cts/gal. Mixed-xylenes settled lower by 34 cts/gal.
