Aromatics Prices Move Northward

Spot benzene and toluene and the U.S. Gulf Coast were higher by 5 cts/gal, while mixed xylenes were reported richer by an average of 7.5 cts/gal in a widening trading ratio. August benzene contracts were expected to rise sharply on both sides of the Atlantic, with U.S. Gulf Coast levels anticipated north of $4/gal.
