As noted for styrene, existing plant outages were exacerbated this week by low water on the Mississippi River. Styrene spiked 3 cts/lb and is expected to go higher as force majeure declarations are made in both monomer and polymer. In Europe aromatics were stronger, players report, with benzene bids higher by $35/m.t. against offers higher by $45/m.t. Similarly, toluene bids were up $10/m.t. against offers higher by $20/m.t...
