Aromatics Prices Mixed

Benchmark benzene on the U.S. Gulf Coast was settled lower by 15 cts/gal while styrene, sources say, was concluded down by 4 cts/lb for late-month November contracts. On the spot side, benzene was higher by 10 cts/gal, but toluene ticked lower by 5 cts/gal. In Europe, December benzene was a rare gainer in contract business, rising €11/m.t. Spot benzene spiked $80/m.t. but spot styene dipped $15/m.t. buyers report.
