Aromatics Prices Mixed at Month's End

Spot benzene and mixed xylenes on the U.S. Gulf Coast gained 20 cts/gal, building on advances of previous weeks. But spot toluene was flat, and spot styrene slipped a penny a pound. In Europe the divergence among aromatics was greater, with spot benzene gaining $40/m.t. while toluene and mixed xylenes added $50/m.t. But styrene flagged to a loss of $80/m.t. traders say.
