Aromatics Prices Mixed Mid-Month

In contrast to recent weeks, there was no clear pattern in aromatics, either among products, or from one side of the Atlantic to the other. Spot benzene and mixed xylenes on the U.S. Gulf were reported flat, but toluene rose 15 cts/gal, traders say. Styrene tacked on 3 cts/lb. In Europe benzene and toluene were both lower by an average of $10/m.t. in tightening trading ranges.
