Aromatics Prices Higher in U.S.

There was no clear overall trend in the aromatics markets. The only news driving the market was a rash of styrene outages: Styrolution declared force majuere on styrene out of Sarnia, ON, after a fire late in July that will have the plant out of service for several months. The company already has its plant at Texas City down for several months’ maintenance, as does Westlake at Lake Charles, LA.
