Spot benzene and mixed xylenes on the U.S. Gulf were actually said to be flat, while spot toluene dipped 15 cts/gal and styrene eased lower by 3 cts/lb, players say. In Europe however, the pattern was reversed, with benzene and styrene taking the biggest losses at $50/m.t. Spot toluene was off just $10/m.t. while mixed xylenes were down $20/m.t. traders report.
