![]() Aromatics Post Strong Gains on Both Sides of Atlantic10:09 AM MDT | July 12, 2012 | Lindsey Bewley Aromatics were sharply higher week-on-week, led by benchmark benzene, which skyrocketed 80 cts/gal on the U.S. Gulf Coast and $120/m.t. in northwest Europe. Spot toluene on the U.S. Gulf Coast climbed 30 cts/gal, while mixed xylenes gained a whopping 55 cts/gal. The pattern was said to be similar in Europe, with toluene higher by $20/m.t., mixed xylenes up $50/m.t., and spot styrene up $60/m.t., traders report.
