![]() Aromatics Post Gains in Late June7:57 AM MDT | June 29, 2012 | Lindsey Bewley Spot benzene on the U.S. Gulf Coast logged a meaningful increase of 15 cts/gal while toluene tagged along with a gain of 5 cts/gal. The same two commodities were lower in northwest Europe, with benzene skidding $70/m.t. while toluene tumbled $50/m.t. After holding posting prices steady for several months, Methanex adjusted the reference price for July methanol in North America lower by 6 cts/gal. Spot prices were said to be lower by 7 cts/gal in North America and €20/m.t. in Europe. Methyl tert-butyl ether turned in a rare gainer for the week, up $30/m.t....
