Aromatics Mostly Unchanged in the U.S. But Higher in Europe

Lackluster trading was reported in U.S. Gulf Coast aromatics markets, with little price moment. Mixed xylenes continued their slide, surrendering another 20 cts/gal. The lone gainer for the week was said to be styrene, where the late-month contract price for May was adjusted higher by 4 cts/lb.  In Europe aromatics were broadly higher, with benene gaining $50/m.t. and toluene tacking on $20/m.t.
