Aromatics Mixed in U.S. and Europe

Aromatics were mixed, players say. Spot benzene on the U.S. Gulf Coast shed a token 5 cts/gal, but toluene was traded higher in a widening trading range. Sellers lifed offers by 10 cts/gal but buyers were only willing to increase bids by half that. Mixed xylenes took a pounding, down an average of 40 cts/gal in what was called anxious business.
