![]() Aromatics Higher in U.S. and Europe9:27 AM MDT | July 20, 2011 | Lindsey Bewley Aromatics moved higher across the board on both sides of the Atlantic this week, traders report. Spot benzene on the U. S. Gulf Coast gained 20 cts/gal, while toluene was higher by 15 cts/gal, and mixed xylenes surged twice that amount. Spot styrene ticked higher by 2 cts/lb. In Europe, benzene led the way charging higher by $90/m.t. while toluene kept pace at $80/m.t. and mixed xylenes added $50/m.t. Styrene in Europe gained $60/m.t.
