![]() Olefins Prices Mixed in the U.S. and Europe10:56 AM MDT | April 20, 2012 | Lindsey Bewley Petrochemical prices were lower this week in a broad but not uniform decline. Ethane was flat at about 50 cts/gal, while butane was lower by about 2 cts/gal. Propane, however, fell about 6 cts/gal. On the spot olefins side, ethylene was higher by about 5 cts/lb, while both grades of propylene rose 3 cts/lb. Spot butadiene reversed several week of price gains, falling about 6 cts/lb, but staying about the $1.50/lb mark, at about $1.58-$1.59/lb.
