![]() U.S., Europe Polymer Prices Mixed2:18 PM MDT | August 13, 2010 | Lindsey Bewley North American polymer prices were mixed, with low-density polyethylene (LDPE) and linear LDPE spot material higher by just $20/m.t. However, polypropylene reported much stronger gains, rising $190/m.t. Other resins were said to be quiet. The action was mostly in Europe this week, traders say, with Dow announcing an €80/m.t. increase for PE in September, and BASF posting a hike of €20/m.t. for polystyrene (PS) in August.
