Polystyrene Prices Mostly Higher

After a month of volatility in styrene monomer prices polystyrene producers and consumers have come to agreements on what was real and what was simply the result of a supply pinch in Europe. At the end of the year export prices for general-purpose PS netted higher in both North America and Europe by $50-60/m.t. while high-impact material stayed generally flat. Contract prices in North America were rolled into December, while contract prices in Europe saw mostly currency-based adjustments. GPPS was off €40/m.t. while HIPS was lower...
