![]() Polymers Prices Rise in Europe and U.S.1:42 PM MDT | March 21, 2012 | Lindsey Bewley Drum-tight markets were reported for polymers in Europe, with supply limitations imposed by several producers on various forms of polyethylene. Scattered plant outages were reported over the middle of the month, but most seem to have been resolved. The supply pinch comes at a time when several producers have been pushing to settle contract prices early in the month as opposed to the end or later as is current practice. For March it was almost a moot point, with buyers apparently willing to cut their losses and lock in prevailing prices before producers attempted...
