Polymer prices settled

As January drew to a close, European polymer prices were settled for January contracts, but players describe the market as moving quickly. There are already nominations for February and March out through which producers hope to reverse declines from January or to try to recover margin. Low-density polyethylene (LDPE) tumbled €220/m.t. sources say, with linear LDPE slumping €170/m.t. High-density PE held losses to €100/m.t. while other resins were reported to have held steady. Market watchers say the results reflect monomer contract settlements...
