Polymer prices mostly down

Market watchers note that in most cases where a big differential opens between polyolefin prices on opposite sides of the Atlantic, the higher prices usually come down. But this week North American spot and export prices rose in the range of $110-200/m.t.—roughly in parity with prevailing spot and export numbers in Europe. At the same time, European November polyolefin contract prices were reported settled with decreases of €60-70/m.t. The same held true for polyvinyl chloride, but polystyrene settlements were said to be down...
