Polymer prices were highly volatile in the second half of March, with most resins increasing, some by as much as 20% in spot markets. Contract settlements were not far behind. With European export markets having run ahead early in March, traders’ attention turned to North American spot markets as well as contract talks on both sides of the Atlantic to see if those gains could be consolidated.
