But players say this could be the calm before the storm with produces hoping to renew summer increases and buyers resisting. North American polyethylene producers have nominated a 4 cts/lb increase for October, on top of September hikes that have yet to take effect. European polystyrene producers are seeking €85/m.t. for September as well. Polyvinyl chloride was the most active resin, with export prices in North America and Europe rising $65/m.t. August...
