![]() Polymer Prices Sag in June Settlements1:02 PM MDT | July 13, 2012 | Lindsey Bewley June contract prices for polymers were lower across the board, buyers report, but sellers note that the decreases were not as much as were anticipated, and that demand is showing signs of life. There seemed to be little unformity in price changes within resin types. Polypropylene led the way down in North America, off 16 cts/lb, but PP spot prices wre lower by only $50/m.t. Conversely, polyethylene spot prices were off $200-240/m.t. while contract prices were down by 8-12 cts/lb. Spot numbers were said to be moving in the same range in Europe, but contract levels...
