Polymer Prices Rise in China

Polypropylene (PP) prices galloped higher in Asia this week. A surge in upstream propylene prices, a fire at Formosa Petrochemical Corp’s Mailiao refinery which in turn prompted Formosa Plastics to cut runs at its PP plants in Taiwan, together were responsible for the leap higher in PP rates.
