![]() Polymer Prices Rise in China10:23 AM MDT | August 8, 2011 | Lindsey Bewley Polypropylene (PP) prices galloped higher in Asia this week. A surge in upstream propylene prices, a fire at Formosa Petrochemical Corp’s Mailiao refinery which in turn prompted Formosa Plastics to cut runs at its PP plants in Taiwan, together were responsible for the leap higher in PP rates. In China, domestic prices of PP injection and PP raffia were assessed at the Yuan 12700/mt ex works levels.
