![]() Polymer Prices Mixed in U.S. and Europe2:59 PM MDT | October 20, 2010 | Lindsey Bewley Polymer prices were mixed in October with contract prices generally edging higher but spot prices very unevent but net lower. Export linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) saw buyers bids raise $60/m.t. to narrow the trading range, but other types of PE were flat. On the contract side, however, all types of PE were able to secure an increase of 2 cts/lb. Polypropylene was the big lose, tumbling $150-190/m.t. No significant gains were reported in export polystyrene, but producers were able to match the 2 cts/lb gains that PE enjoyed. In Europe PP eeked out about...
