![]() Polymer Prices Jump in Europe12:09 PM MDT | September 7, 2012 | Lindsay Frost August contract prices for European polymers moved firmly higher as sellers report “unexpectedly strong demand.” Low-density polyethylene (PE) rose an average of €80 ($102.36)/m.t. in a widening trading band. Other types of PE gained €100–€120/m.t. Polypropylene (PP) was agreed higher by €80/m.t., while polystyrene was settled at an increase of €150/m.t. Polyvinyl chloride added €100/m.t.
