![]() Polymer Prices Firm in China8:22 AM MST | February 8, 2011 | Lindsey Bewley Polypropylene (PP) prices in Asia marched higher. A spike in upstream propylene feedstock costs supported the gains in PP as did firmer prices of crude and naphtha. “The increase in PP rates last week would have been sharper had the region not shutdown for holidays. A lunar break in China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, South Korea, Singapore and Malaysia, saw activity in the region grind to a halt and prevented us from up adjusting our offer rates.
