Polymer Prices Firm in China

Prices of PP in Asia continued to journey northward. Despite the fall in propylene feedstock values which on Thursday were assessed down at the USD 1140/mt FOB Korea levels, sellers of PP successfully steered their offer prices higher this week, citing tight availability and a spike in regional demand. PP injection and PP raffia prices were assessed up at the USD 1350/mt CFR Far East Asia levels while PP copolymer prices were assessed up at the USD 1450/mt CFR Far East Asia mark.
