![]() North American spot polymer prices higher, Europe mixed2:11 PM MST | January 14, 2013 | Lindsay Frost With North American December contracts settled, polymer markets were focused on European contracts and North American export prices, players report. North American export pricing was all higher, traders report, ranging from just $40-50/m.t. higher for linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE), high-density PE, and high-impact polystyrene (PS), through $100/m.t. for general purpose PS, to $200-220/m.t. for polypropylene (PP). Contracts in Europe were much more mixed. Low-density PE and LLDPE slipped about €50/m.t. while HDPE plunged €180-230/m.t. PP rose... This information is only available to Chemical Week subscribers.
