Most Polymer Prices in China Sluggish, Players Say

In China, where inventories of PP were ample, injection and raffia prices were assessed down. Ex works prices were at the Yuan 12520/mt to Yuan 12550/mt levels. Demand is subdued in key markets like India and China. Currently this is overshadowing the pressures from rising propylene costs. Also a threat to stable prices is the competition among traders in China. Many who are seeking to liquidate their positions are offering very competitive rates for their bonded cargoes.
