European Polymers Prices on the Rise

European polymer price increases dominated market attention in the final full week of trading before the Christmas and New Year holdiays. Higher raw materials prices and constrained production have sent spot and contract prices soaring, market sources report. Polyethylene spot prices were higher by $200/m.t. over the first half of the month, while polypropylene and polystyrene export numbers rose $100/m.t.
