Spot polymer prices mostly higher

Polymer markets were very busy in the second half of February, with spot prices mostly higher on both sides of the Atlantic but contract settlements softer in North America and firmer in Europe, sources say. Spot gains in North America included low-density polyethylene (LDPE) and linear LDPE, while blow-molding grade high-density polyethylene (HDPE) was lower. Polypropylene (PP) was also split, with homopolymer higher by $40/m.t. but copolymer lower by $60/m.t. In Europe, spot material was reported higher across the board, with gains in PE of $30–80/m.t....
