![]() Polymer prices drop9:31 AM MST | December 18, 2012 | Lindsay Frost Polymer markets were extremely active, players say, with most prices declining. North American contract settlements for December were down a penny per pound for high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and for polystyrene (PS) but higher by a cent for copolymer polypropylene (PP), it was reported. Low-density polyethylene (LDPE) slid 7 cts/lb, while linear LDPE (LLDPE) was down 4 cts/lb, players say. Export prices varied widely, with LDPE and LLDPE down $65/m.t., but HDPE blow-molding grade was up $20/m.t. as film-grade was down $110/m.t. PP saw homopolymer skid...
