Polymer prices drop

Polymer markets were extremely active, players say, with most prices declining. North American contract settlements for December were down a penny per pound for high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and for polystyrene (PS) but higher by a cent for copolymer polypropylene (PP), it was reported. Low-density polyethylene (LDPE) slid 7 cts/lb, while linear LDPE (LLDPE) was down 4 cts/lb, players say.
