Polymer markets show stark difference between spot and contract prices

Polymer markets showed marked differences between export-oriented spot markets, which were generally higher over the second half of October, and contract prices, which slipped slightly. North American export resins were reported to have gained over a wide range from $60-80/m.t. for both grades of high-density polyethylene (HDPE), copolymer polypropylene (PP), and low-density PE (LDPE).
