![]() Polymer prices hiked higher11:35 AM MDT | October 5, 2012 | Lindsay Frost Polymer producers say they were largely successful in pushing through significant portions of the price increases that they had on the table for August and into September. Market watchers say the hikes took hold in North America earlier, and more recently in Europe. The notable exception was in North American low-density polyethylene (LDPE) which slipped 7 cts/lb for September. Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) gained a total of 11 cts/lb in contract-price increases over the two months, sellers say. On the spot side LDPE and polystyrene (PS) added $40-50/m.t. while...
