![]() Uptick for U.S. Olefins Prices2:03 PM MDT | March 21, 2012 | Lindsey Bewley Prices for North American feedstocks rose on the heels of higher crude oil. Spot naphtha was up to $2.44-$2.48/gal in a widening trading range, while propane remained stable at $1.26/gal. Butane eased by 2 cts/gal, to $1.92/gal. Ethane, meanwhile, also posted slight declines week-on-week. About 5 cts/gal was lost, bringing ethane to about 50 cts/gal. Spot olefins were on the upswing. Spot ethylene rose about 2 cts/lb, to 56 cts/lb, while both grades of propylene were unchanged. Spot butadiene continued its upward climb, adding 4 cts/lb. Spot butadiene is now...
