![]() U.S. Olefins and Feedstocks Climb Higher11:55 AM MDT | July 27, 2011 | Lindsey Bewley Prices for North American feedstocks were on the rise this week, with ethane gaining about 4 cts/gal, to 84 cts-85 cts/gal and both propane and butane rising about 2 cts/gal. Naphtha was stable at about $2.45/gal. On the olefins side, spot ethylene was up about 3 cts/lb, to 62 cts-64 cts/lb. Both grades of spot propylene added 2 cts/lb. Sources say a propylene producer has nominated a 3-cts/lb increase for August contracts, which would bring PGP contracts to 81 cts/lb and CGP to 79.5 cts/lb.
