![]() U.S. Olefins Prices Mixed on Outages, Lower Buying Interest12:05 PM MDT | August 25, 2010 | Lindsey Bewley North American feedstock prices were generally mixed this week, on choppy crude oil prices. U.S. ethane was up about 5 cts/gal, to 50cts- 52 cts/gal, while other feedstocks were down. Naphtha fell by about 12 cts/gal, butane was down about 7 cts/gal, and propane was lower by about 6 cts/gal. U.S. spot olefins continued this trend, with end of the month trading mixed. Spot ethylene was up about 5 cts/lb, to about 39cts- 40cts/lb, on news of production problems at one of Shell Chemical's facilities at Deer Park, TX, sources say. One ethylene unit was reported to...
