Spot ethylene fell about a penny, to 36 cts-37 cts/lb, while spot butadiene was down about 2 cts/lb, in a widening range. Both grades of spot propylene remained stable, sources say. In contract news, no settlement has been reached for July ethylene. Market watchers expect a two-month deal with August. Overall market sentiment is that ethylene contracts will fall, possibly by about 2 cts- 2.5 cts/lb. Unlike ethylene, U.S. propylene contracts have settled, this time for August.
