Spot olefin prices down

Buyers were in firm control across most petrochemical markets this week, with most spot prices reported lower ahead of April contract talks. Spot naphtha in northwest Europe was said to decline by $25/m.t. In response to that decline, as well as lower polymer prices, spot olefins ticked lower, traders say. Ethylene was off €20/m.t. ($28), while propylene edged down...
