Petchem market slows, little activity

After several weeks of active trading, petrochemical traders seemed to have taken a bit of a breather this week, with market activity described as lackluster. Upstream markets offered little inspiration or direction, with spot naphtha in Europe drifting down $10/m.t. Spot olefins were reported essentially unchanged, but with sentiment said to be slightly negative after several weeks of increases. Spot propane prices in US were 94–95 cts/lb, while spot butane went up to 146–7...
