![]() Olefins Prices Move Slightly Higher in U.S. and Europe9:53 AM MST | December 28, 2011 | Lindsey Bewley North American feedstocks were slightly higher in post-holiday trading. Ethane was stable at about 79 cts/gal, while propane added about 2 cts/gal, to $1.38/gal. Butane was the big winner, adding about 15 cts/gal from last week, settling at about $2.15/gal. Among U.S. spot olefins, ethylene was down about 1.5 cts/lb, to 51.5 cts/lb. Both grades of spot propylene fell about a penny. Spot butadiene, meanwhile, was higher by about 7 cts/lb, moving over the $1/lb mark to settle at about $1.04 cts/lb. Gains were modest for spot naphtha in northwest Europe, only...
