![]() Olefins Prices Mostly Down in U.S., Europe1:27 PM MDT | April 26, 2012 | Lindsey Bewley North American feedstocks were mixed. Ethane rose 2 cts/gal while propane was lower by about 2 cts/gal. Butane added 1 ct/gal. Among spot olefins in the U.S., ethylene gained a penny while butadiene and propylene were lower. Spot butadiene declined about 5 cts/lb, while both grades of propylene sank about 6 cts/lb. In Europe, the cumulative weight of several successive down weeks upstream, on top of renewed sour economic news drove spot olefins prices lower, sellers admitted.
