![]() Olefins Prices Fall in U.S. and Europe12:01 PM MST | December 15, 2011 | Lindsey Bewley North American feedstock prices were generally lower. Ethane fell about 5 cts/gal, propane lost about 6 cts/gal, and butane while butane lost 5 cts/gal. Among Noth American olefins, spot ethylene was higher by about 2 cts/lb, while propylene was also up about 2 cts/lb. Spot butadiene remained steady at 96 cts-98 cts/lb. Continuing economic upheaval in Europe drove spot olefins prices lower this week after a brief rally last week.
