![]() Olefins Prices Fall in North America12:08 PM MDT | May 4, 2012 | Lindsey Bewley North American feedstocks tumbled this week, despite rising crude oil rices. Players say there is enough interest in purchasing, but there has been some lengthening in the market to push prices slightly lower. Ethane fell about 9 cts/gal week-on-week, while propane was down about 13 cts/gal. Butane was also lower by about 13 cts/gal. Among U.S. spot olefins, ethylene fell about 8 cts/lb, to about 63 cts/lb. Contracts for the month of April settled at a decline of 0.5 cts/lb, to 55.25 cts/lb.
