![]() Olefins Mostly Higher in Europe1:45 PM MDT | August 25, 2011 | Lindsey Bewley Spot naphtha rose $45/m.t. this week in northwest Europe, buoyed by recovering markets for ethylene and propylene. Spot ethylene edged higher by €20/m.t., but C3 markets saw differing developments, with chemical grade showing good strength in a gain of €80/m.t. However, polymer grade only managed a net gain of €15/m.t. as buyers raised bids. There was a sharp retreat reported in butadiene, with an early settlement of the September contract, lower bny €125/m.t. Spot material was down...
