Olefin prices stagnant

It was a down week overall in petrochemical markets, with a few notable exceptions. Spot naphtha was nominally lower, off just $5/m.t. Spot olefins were said to be quiet in northwest Europe as October contract talks get under way in earnest. Sellers are seeking to rebuild margins, but buyers insist downstream demand cannot support their passing along any monomer...
