![]() North American Butadiene Contracts Soar10:18 AM MDT | May 9, 2011 | Lindsey Bewley Butadiene contracts for the month of May settled at an increase of 20 cts-22 cts/lb in another split settlement that saw three producers settle at $1.41/lb while one producer settled at $1.45/lb. The settlement represents a 16.5%-17.8% increase from April contracts, depending on the producer. Meanwhile, spot butadiene has surged to over $1.70/lb, on strong demand and tight availability. Spot material was pegged around $1.73/lb early this week, up from about $1.65/lb last week, sources say. Players are expecting this situation to continue throughout...
